Hi, new user and first-time builder here.

Here are the specs of my PC build:

PCU: EVGA 450 B1, Bronze 450W
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 (w/ Wraith Stealth Cooler)
MB: MSI ProSeries AMD Ryzen B350 DDR4 micro-ATX motherboard
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB graphics card
HDD: Seagate 1 TB BarraCuda hard drive (6Gb/s 32 MB)
RAM: 1 Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4 memory
Case: VIVO Micro-ATX tower

Windows 10 64-bit is installed, as well as the two CD's of drivers that came with the MB and GPU.

After much troubleshooting, I got my PC to boot, installed the OS and everything seemed to be going fine. The game runs *simple 2D games* such as LISA and DOOM perfectly. However, when I tried to test out Skyrim and Fallout NV, the following things happened:

Skyrim: no voices at the beginning of a new game, general glitchery (horse carriage running straight into castle doors) and crash to desktop a few seconds into loading a save file.

Fallout NV: immediate crash to desktop with very first load screen.

So far, I have installed all the drivers both on the discs and updated drivers online, but the same things keep happening. Not sure if it's an issue with software or hardware.

Thank you in advance!

Sounds driver related . I would suggest removing the GPU drivers first of all, using DDU in safemode.

Then, once fully removed - reboot and reinstall the latest driver from nVidia's website.

FWIW, I'd always suggest avoiding installing drivers from the disk. Those are usually pretty dated vs what's available on the website.

If the driver removal/update doesn't fix it - are you monitoring temps?

Thank you for the help. I uninstalled my drivers with the software in safe mode, rebooted, installed the new driver from the website, restarted, but it unfortunately didn't help. The games still crash in the same fashion as before.

I have downloaded software to monitor processor and graphics card temps, but I couldn't figure out how to view them alongside my games; even in windowed mode they take up the whole screen and refuse to move..... But I guess monitoring those temps is still my next option.

I will accept any advice! Please help.
