GPU Not Found after BIOS Update

Hello!

I have an MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6gb Camo Edition.

Yesterday I replaced my i3-6100 CPU with an i5-7600k. I had to update my BIOS, and did so using the internet tool. Before replacing the processor and the BIOS update, my computer ran just fine and I had no problems with my GPU. Now, with the new processor and the BIOS update, the computer runs but it can't find the GPU. The GPU is running in the computer, meaning the lights are on and the fans function, but the computer can't find it. I'm unable to open the Nvidia control panel. I've tried downloading the most recent drivers from Nvidia, but at the end of the installation it says "Installation Failed" and gives a list of processes that were "not selected". I then tried to Uninstall the drivers to reinstall them, and again I get "Uninstall failed" with a list of processes that were "not selected" or "not removed".

I'm at a loss here how to fix the issue, and any help would be appreciated!

I tried both of your suggestions. I used the DDU to uninstall all the Nvidia graphics drivers. When that didn't work, I used this support file -- http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/4223 -- and completed EVERY step. I made sure the Nvidia services were not running. I removed the registry keys. Tried to reinstall. Installation failed.

I tried to clear the CMOS. I opened up to my motherboard and connected a screwdriver to the two small prongs that say CLEAR CMOS in the user manual.

Rebooted, tried to install the nvidia drivers. No success.

My monitor is connected to the GPU, and the lights are all on. Any other suggestions. I'm growing desperate.

I'm not sure... I've been working with my IT guru roommates, and ultimately we just re-installed windows. It was unfortunate, but we didn't know what else to do. Good news is, the GPU is recognized and I have google fiber so redownloading all my programs won't take terribly long.

I still don't know what the problem was, but apparently redownloading windows solved the problem.

And sorry about not mentioning the motherboard. I'm using a GIGABYTE Z170-HD3P. It supports the i5-7600k according to their website.
