ASUS ROG Centurion True 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming Headset for PC/Console with USB control box 7.1 PCIe gaming sound card set with an audiophile-grade DAC and 124dB SNR would they work well together since the headset comes with amplifier or would I be better off with headset and Essence STX II cause the first 2 both seem to come with headphone amplifier help out

Solution
Hey,
You do NOT use any computer audio solution with this setup, or at least there's no point to it.

The DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) sound solution is in the adapter device that sits on your desk. It is essentially the sound card.

There is a SWITCH to select either the headphones or your desktop speakers. Both the headphones and speakers are connected to the box always.

*See the Support page and select the MANUAL for how it works.

MANUAL-> (see Pg. 6 especially then go back and try to figure out the inputs and outputs)

So there's no point in buying a sound card.
