Ryzen 5 1800X lol?

So I have my supposed R5 1600 overclocked to 3.8ghz and while i was in the bios I noticed it said 8 cores, so I did a cinebench run and got 1659cb and this is on par with an 1800X what is going on?

See, that wasn't hard was it? Looks like you must be one of the luckiest silicon lottery winners in recent memory. Beats the heck out of just getting a chip that overclocks well.

Eh, pics or didn't happen is what we generally say on things like this. And if you overclock your 1600 to or near to 1800x speeds, it could definitely perform at a level much higher than a stock chip, and likely closer to that of a stock 1800x except that in highly threaded benchmarks it would likely fall behind.
