Need to Test a CPU

So I got a Core i7 860 for free from a friend, and I want to build a secondary PC with it. I found this on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lenovo-Thinkcentre-M90P-LGA-1156-DDR3-SDRAM-Desktop-Motherboard-71Y5975-IQ57N/122809220970?hash=item1c97ffff6a:g:ZbgAAOSwEZdaCz1c , and I was wondering if I got this to test the CPU, how would I turn it on? I couldn't find a motherboard diagram, and I assume that with it being a Lenovo board, it doesn't have a normal power header like a board for building a custom rig. I really just want to know if the CPU works, then I'll go and get a nice motherboard for it. No local computer shops will test it either :/

Thanks for any help!

The cpu is lga1156, and so is the motherboard so you likely are good.

The main power socket and the aux 4 pin socket look standard to me.
But the motherboard does not look like a standard ATX format.
I think you are good for your purposes.

It would be unusual for a cpu to go bad.
More likely the motherboard.
When you get it look carefully at the pins in the cpu socket.
That is where most failures occur. If you see any damaged or misaligned pins send it back.
Ebay protects buyers if you pay with paypal.
Be prepared to test promptly.
If it does not work, ask for a return assuming the seller said it was working.
