RAM similar to a Corsair Dominator Platinum CMD8GX3M2A1866C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3

What RAM is similar to Corsair Dominator Platinum CMD8GX3M2A1866C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3? I was told if I wanted more RAM it'd have to be the same sticks, and if not I'd possibly have performance issues.
I cannot find sales for this specific type, so am I able to get another 4gb of RAM that's similar to the RAM I have now with no performance issues, or do I need an entirely RAM set?

Mix and match RAM is a gamble at best. If you have no performance issues now, the best answer is to get a matched set of DIMMs. If your motherboard supports 8GB DIMMs, then two 8GB DIMMs otherwise you would have to get a matched set of four 4GB DIMMs.
