Hello everyone currently on the market for a new monitor and wondering if I should buy a 1440p 144hz with Gsync or a 1080p 144hz with Gsync. Both are same price

The problem is if I will be able to run games at 1440p. But I've read that Gsync helps with stuttering when FPS is around 40-60.

Cpu/gpu specs:
I5 7600
GTX 1060

Any help is appreciated thanks.

Yes, you can still run games but you would have to run them at a lower graphical settings than a better gpu like a GTX 1070. Most modern games will auto select the settings best for your card.
I currently running a GTX 970 on a 1440p 144Hz monitor and playing a few AAA titles is still fine. Most of the time, your settings will be a mixture of med-High.
Haven't noticed much stuttering since I'm making sure the fps doesn't go before 60fps as much as possible.
