As long as you aren't overclocking the heck out of the CPU, you'll be fine. I had a 212 EVO on my 7700k with a 4.8ghz OC and while it was a smudge warm, it wasn't hot.
Carefull with the Vcore and you should be fine, try and stay under 80 - 85C as for maximum temps.

When it comes to coolers you can go for one of the best aircooler out there or a total overkill custom water loop and the temps will be around the same. Reason for this is:

There is hardly any need to go overkill on the cooler for that CPU unless you delid it.

I have an overkill custom loop on my 7700k (480mm rad + 8 fans in push / pull) and before delid @ 5Ghz I had around 90+ celcius.
Now after delid I have never ever go past 62 celcius under a stress test. Gaming I stay around 40 - 50 celcius area. (depending on ambient room temp)
