Fresh install Windows on SSD while keeping data on HDD

So I have a MSI GT62VR that I tried to format using the MSI recovery tool but it messed up and now I can't boot windows either :-D
So now I have a SSD (which had my previous windows 10 installation) and a HDD (which I'm guessing didn't get corrupted and has some important data).
I was thinking of fresh installing windows 10 off a USB onto my SSD, but can I do that while keeping the data in HDD intact?
Any way I could recover windows without having to lose the data on C (my SSD) ? (just being optimistic here tho)
Thanks a lot!

You can definitely direct your Windows install to the SSD (I'd suggest removing the HDD beforehand, just to avoid accidents).
That won't impact the data (in it's current state - assuming it's ok) on the HDD.

Then, reattach the HDD and you should be able to navigate to it (may need to assign a drive letter) and explore/recover data.
I'd suggest backing up any data you want on the HDD at this point, then formatting - that way you avoid having two OS installed (even if the OS on the HDD won't boot) which can present odd bugs on occasions.

No, you do not have to DISKPART - during the install you can delete partitions etc, that's sufficient for re-use yourself.
