i bhought a e5-2660 after i installed it and opend cpu-z and cinebench they are recognizing the cpu as a 2 core 2 thread CPU even though it is an 8 core 16 thread cpu. i took a screenshot of cpu-z to post here

please help me on how to activate all 8 cores. (it is recognized in BIOS as an 8 core cpu)

Solution
It could be CPU-z. Try updating it or using HW Monitor. (or any number of monitoring software)

Even looking in the task manager should tell you.

If you only see usages for two threads/cores come back and we'll see what we can do.

If the BIOS recognizes it, it's almost entirely a software issue.
