I'm a beginner for overclocking. So I started to step up a bit from factory clock speed. I take a look at core temp. And I find out Max Temp on full load is 65 C (maybe more but I decided to stop). So are that normal having Voltage goes up to 1.47 V also It seems like too hot.

Any advice?

Yeah, I set everything to auto and only increased the clock ratio. Should I set anything more to get lower temp?

Your temp is safe. Some folks turn off turbo mode and C1E and C&Q for a more stable OC, but that probably won't affect the temps. Disabling C&Q may even increase the temps at times. You realize, at stock w/turbo on it will get you 3.7GHz anyway, right?

What cooler are you using?
What motherboard?
What PSU?

Hi,
I am trying the same with my phenomenon II x6 1100 BE. Cooler hyper212. Motherboard M4a88.. It looks like with these settings everything looks stable with Prime95. Temps 55Max.

244 x 16= 3903MHz
HT link 2683
NB frequency 2683
1.48V
Other parameters on Auto.

What do you think?

If it is stable, you're good. 55C max is great. Sounds like you found a good piece of silicon. What's the problem?

I don't know why it says I voted negatively. I think your answer is great. :S

Do you think it is worthy to keep raising the voltage to reach 4ghz or however 3.9 is fair enough for a cpu as old as this one? Am I going to notice in a daily basics (games, internet) a big difference between 3.3 and 4ghz? Or 3.9 is ok?

Thanks
