Hello, I have ordered a large amount of components for my computer, the last thing I need is the Graphics Card, On this part picker list I have all of the parts below and one of the graphics cards I was thinking of getting, on the other hand, I do have the money to go up to a 1080 ( I see some from 450 - 480) and was wondering if it would make much of a difference or if it was worth investing more money into going up to the 1080.

TLDR; I have all the parts on this list except the GPU, currently looking at 1070ti, is it worth getting a 1080 and why also which one would be best suited?

Thanks in advance

I like the 1070 Ti but unfortunately, many vendors I've seen like NewEgg have them priced real close to 1080s. But on Amazon for example, the prices are more spread out. So for me, it would be down to pricing which includes rebates. I'd rather spend $30 more for a GTX 1080. But again, you really need to shop around because prices between the two can fluctuate wildly. The performance difference between two comparable factory overclocked (or reference) cards averages about 12% +/- depending on game.

Honestly, knowing what monitor you're going to move to will make the recommendation different. I believe the monitor decision must be made first.

If you're going to 4k, then you'd probably want to move to a 1080 at the least, 1080Ti preferable.

If you're sticking with 1080p and a higher refresh, I imagine a 1070 would probably be sufficient.
