I plan on buying a laptop and maybe upgrading it later. I’m assuming you can’t upgrade the cpu in a laptop so I want to buy a laptop with the minimum requirements of just surfing the web ,and is snappy enough not to bottleneck any other components such as a SSD if I plan on upgrading after, also memory; Just general purpose stuff, Like surfing, YouTube, downloads, etc. I don’t want a chrome book either. Where’s the limit of diminishing returns with the respect to “non power using” and ya know just like surfing the web and general use . Where’s the point where a cpu is overkill for that sort of stuff. I just want the “best cpu“ , for what I’m doing. Don’t get me wrong though, I don’t want anything slow neither. I just want the best processor for web browsing, opening apps, and other general non demanding things for a laptop. I’d also be curious to know what the desktop equivalent would be to as well?
