please help gpu not working after ddu driver uninstall

I was having problems with my strix 1080ti crashing and decided to use DDU to uninstall the drivers and reinstall and after uninstalling the screen is just blank on my display. not sure what to do...
i plugged in a different graphics card and it worked fine and i had installed the drivers for the 1080ti while having the other gpu plugged in and plugged back in the 1080ti and still same problem, i tried using hdmi and the other port and still no fix screen is just black.
is the card fried or what, this is my first pc so im not sure what is going on.

the drivers for 1070 and 1080ti are the same from NVidia, so you should not have to reinstall drivers after installing them for the 1070, just need to power down, swap cards and plug 1080ti in, if that does work I am wondering if you can test this 1080Ti at a store or another pc from a friend?

I have more questions then answers at this point;

1. you say "I was having problems with my strix 1080ti crashing" can you explain the issue further and explain symptoms.
2. you tested another video card, was it also an NVIDIA video card?
3. when you used DDU, I will ask , did you let it reboot in safe mode before it removed the drivers?
4. after DDU, did you grab a fresh copy of the drivers from the official web site and not reuse an older copy ?
5. What is the operating system you are using ?

1. my monitor kept saying no signal and i would have to do a hard reboot and it would connect sometimes, would crash one games...it was error code 43 in my device manager.

2. yes it was a brand new 1070 FE

3. no, i did the regular restart and it did not restart after about 3-4 mins so i powered the pc off with hard restart.

4. i saved a fresh copy from official site ontop desktop before doing ddu.

5. windows 10 home

just confused why the 1070 is working fine but the 1080 isnt giving out and signal...tried both dvi and hdmi...and also if i installed the 1070 and installed the drivers for the 1080ti while the 1070 was installed shouldnt the 1080ti drivers be updated and the 1080ti should be working?

okay so since i cannot get any video from the 1080ti do i install the 1070 and use that to run ddu and clear out the drivers? it wont damage my 1070 and wipe it out?

okay done, installing new drivers but im still on the 1070, after i install the drivers for 1080ti i will install the gpu and let you know how it goes.
