Hi everyone. I hope I can get an answer to this asap - a few months ago I built myself a great PC for gaming. I play demanding games and my PC handles it well. Yesterday when I was playing BO2, my PC suddenly froze and I had to manually turn it off and restart. After that, it has been terribly slow(like taking 30 scnds to open my documents). The hard drive that I have is an old 320gb one. That is the only thing I can think of that could be the problem. The two lights on the front of my case (power and restart) have been on constantly since freezing which is different. I have been unable to open anything since. Any suggestions as to what it could be ?
My PC specs:
-i5 4440
-8gb Kingston hyperx 1600mhz
-asus b85m gamer mobo
-gtx 1060 6gb EXOC
-650w PSU
-corsair 100r case
Thanks

Yeah I'm guessing it's most likely that old hard drive that's causing the slow down. You could buy an SSD and use that as the primary HD and then clone your HD to it, then use your HD as a storage drive.

No I have not installed any new software. My Windows 10 kept on prompting me to do something with windows defender so if I remember correctly, I did activate windows defender
