Hello,
I've been having quite a bizarre problem that I can neither find the cause nor the solution with my wireless connection. I've searched here and there and seems like this is the first case to happen and unfortunately I seemed to be the only one with this problem.
I'll be outlining the (seemingly) important details in bold, so if this is kind of a bother I apologize and I'll make sure to not doing it in the future.
A little bit of background story, quite a long time ago (it's actually 2 years ago lol), I purchased a wireless adapter named TP-Link TL-WN723N which works quite well with my PC at that time. The ISP I'm using in here is called Indihome, quite stable most of the time, and they set up the connection in my home using Fiberhome AN5506 modem which includes VOIP and TV channels package. It's also using fiber-optic connection in and is a wireless modem, it does have LAN ports though, 1 used for the TV channels and 3 others are not used, with one of em is "bind" with IP binding, which I don't exactly know what it does (and would rather not messing with it).
The PC specifications at that time :
OS : Windows 7 Pro x64
CPU : AMD Athlon II X3 455
Motherboard : BIOSTAR A780LE
GPU : ASUS AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB GDDR3
RAM : 1x2GB DDR2 + 1x1GB DDR2 (forgot the make and model)
PSU : RAIDMAX RX-500AF-B (500W 80+ Bronze)
HDD : 1x SEAGATE Barracuda 160GB (PATA), 1x WD-Blue 1TB 7200RPM (SATA)
And quite recently I upgraded my PC specifications to this :
OS : Windows 10 Pro x64
CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Motherboard : ASRock AB350 Pro4
GPU : ASUS AMD Radeon R7 240 2GB GDDR3
(currently using HIS AMD RX550 but the issue happens when I was using that GPU as well)
RAM : CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 2666 MHz
PSU : RAIDMAX RX-500AF-B (500W 80+ Bronze)
HDD : 1x SAMSUNG Evo 750 250GB (SATA), 1x WD-Blue 1TB 7200RPM (SATA)
Everything was well until suddenly there's this problem in which my connection would go haywire whenever I was in-game, be it offline games or online games. For the record, most of my games are using Steam as a platform, and sometimes I would lose connection and on more severe cases Steam would go into offline mode, and then regain connection once I exit the game.
There's also cases when the adapter would not getting any internet connection which is a problem with the driver, and usually fix-able with the troubleshooting network (it reinstalls the driver most of the time)
I tried to seek the cause, I tested pinging the modem (in my case 192.168.1.1) and compare the ping when Im not in-game to when I'm in-game.
I'm testing the ping using Counter-Strike Global Offensive as an example.
Here's how it looks like from the start;
And long story short we're in-game and here's the in-game ping that I got;
Then I alt-tabbed and see my ping and found this;
Then I tested another online game called Rainbows 6 Siege, in which it uses Uplay (with connection to Steam if buying the game from Steam) and got this;
And then I alt-tabbed and found out this;
I also tested a DRM-less (as in not using any platform like Steam, Uplay, Origins, etc) game called Contract Wars and it got the same result, unfortunately I didnt capture the result.
I tested some offline (singleplayer) games as well and those games doesn't seem to trigger the high ping + RTO issue.
I also tested the case on my laptop, a HP laptop that I forgot the model name, and it doesn't have the same problem even with the same game and the same platform.
From this I can conclude that it only happens during online gaming, mainly when I joined a server and start playing. And it's actually having RTO to the modem itself when in-game, not to the internet which I thought was originally the cause. That being said, something is wrong either with the adapter or the driver.
I tried these steps to fix the problem;
1. Using the troubleshooting tools built-in the Windows 10; which results in this, not quite sure how and why but the connection seems to be stable,
2. Resetting the netsh winsock and netsh int ip then restarts,
3. Using ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew,
4. Reinstall the drivers completely (uninstall through devmgmt.msc, restart, then reinstall using the provided driver installation media)
And none seemed to fix the problem.
So in short, my adapter seemed to lose connection whenever I'm in-game, and I doesn't seem to be able to fix it and running out of ideas on how to fix it.
In conclusion my question is:
Is there any suggestion on what to do for this?
Also is there anything that might be the cause for this based on the case I wrote above?

Tried to use ethernet cable (Cat 5e, straighthrough, connected directly from PC to Modem), the issue persists.
