Hello,

I have tried about every solution i can find online and it has helped but i still feel like i could
get alot more frames.

Currently i have a OC'd 7700k and 1080, but i only reach about 250-280 fps in CS:GO
and it dips into the 100's on some maps, the game only uses about 35-40% of my CPU
and there's not alot of GPU usage either.

The thing i find very weird is that I had more frames on my last pc and that was a prebuilt
system from asus, that pc had a 760 and a i5 (cant remember wich one, probably one of the
old ones)

If anyone has any suggestions i would be grateful, thanks in advance.

Well in that case your components aren't at fault for sure, are you running the game on highest settings?
In my opinion, unlike latest games, cs:go isn't about how it looks. Of course it's nicer if it looks better but what you need in cs:go is smoothness and fastness. Thus even with the best set-up the market could offer I'd still play cs:go on lowest settings.

Maybe it's just an idea of mine that's not even right but if I see the arm/shoulder/foot of an enemy with hundreds of ms faster it could make the difference between who kills whom.

Hello Philip,

I'm not experienced enough on these matters but I can give you a comparison point and an advice.
I have an old Q6600 (quad) with 2.4 and a GT 730 2gb gddr5 and I run the basic maps at around ~120-150 with everything on low, so technically your set-up should go higher.
The advice is to get CPU-Z or if you know your components give more info on all your components like RAM, CPU & GPU details such that a more experienced person could look if everything is alright.
A wild guess would be that your RAM are bottlenecking your FPS or that it is the right FPS if you play with everything on max.

Hope you'll find someone more experienced to look into your issue and solve it!
