i have an Acer Aspairre 4752 laptop ( Windows 10 ) and I noticed the Audio icon ( speaker in the bottom right) had an X on it and of course I wasnt hearing audio. It said the audio service was not running so I open the services panel and checked the Windows Audio service and it WAS running so I tried to stop and restart the service. It is stuck there and grayed out.
I tried to run the sc queryex <service name> command but got an answer
"the specified service does not exist as an installed service"
Anyone any ideas of how to solve this problem>?
Thanks

First thing I would try would be to go to Acer's site, download the audio driver for your model, uninstall your current audio driver through device manager, and then install the driver you downloaded. Don't download drivers except through the manufacturer's website.
