Hi,

As a lot of members here, I have a problem with my first build.

This is the build:
Code:
Motherboard: MSI Z170A GAMING M3
Memory: Corsair DDR4 Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3000 C15
CPU: Intel i7 7700k
GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G
PSU: Corsair TX650M V2
Storage: Samsung 960 EVO 250GB
(if you need anything else, just ask)

The problem I'm having is the following. I press on the power button, the fans come on, the EZ Debug LEDs do the following:
The CPU LED comes on for half a second then turns off
Then the DRAM LED comes on for 5 seconds or so, then turns off

When I remove all RAM the DRAM LED stays on, so I guess it's a good sign it turns off after 5 seconds when the RAM is present in the slots.

The manual said I had to use slot 2 and 4 for the memory, this is what I did, but I tried every other slot, with a single stick of RAM en 2 sticks.

The motherboard has an onboard HDMI socket, which I tried with and without GPU present.

All the other solutions of similar problems found on the internet didn't help me. Am I forgetting something or did something break?

Can't I update it myself? Why are you so sure this is the problem?

So as you probably knew, you were 100% correct. I put in a cheap Skylake processor and flashed the bios, now it works with the Kaby Lake, Thanks so much!
