Blue Screen of Death After CPU Upgrade

So I recently upgraded my CPU from a Intel Pentium G4400 3.30GHZ to an i5-7600k, my PC now runs much louder and hotter than before and even gets the ''Blue Screen of Death'' or simply turns itself off when I'm playing modern games such as Overwatch.

I have upgraded my Bios and I think it may either be a CPU cooler issue or a Power Supply issue, my current power supply is the tr2 challenger 500w and I don't know what my CPU Fan is but it came which my Intel Pentium G4400 3.30GHZ.

I would be very grateful if someone with more knowledge on PC hardware could get back to me and help solve my issue, if you have any more questions about my issue please let me know.

Thank you.

When you re-installed the heat sink / fan assume you used new thermal paste. If you didn't then stop using the PC until you get new paste installed. Many Youtube videos show how to clean parts with rubbing alcohol and coffee filters (coffee filters have zero lint, unlike paper towels). Then show you how to install HSF using thermal paste like artic silver. (Sorry if you already know/did this).

Many programs read the temps of CPUs. I like HWMONITOR (google it). Use some program to see how hot your i5 is getting. I like the points above that the old CPU cooler is undersized for the new CPU, but it's worth checking temps before you buy parts.

Due to the fact that the i5 is a much more powerful CPU, it likely is generating more heat than the stock fan for the old, less powerful CPU is able to keep up with. You are likely getting the BSODs from the system shutting down to prevent damage to the CPU due to overheating. You need to get a better cooler on that CPU ASAP. What is your current budget?

Around £30-£50, I'm not sure is that is even a reasonable price as I am not to knowledgeable on this subject.
