As the title says, ive got to choose from these 2 motherboards for a pretty budgetey build, the boards are from Gigabyte - GA-F2A68HM-S1 and GA-F2A78M-HD2. I wont be going over 5Ghz with them, but id like to get atleast 4.2Ghz out of my A8-6600K. Which chipset would be better, and if i get the one that you recommend, would it support AMDs Kaveri APUs ?

Solution
If i were you i would choose the motherboard with the newer chipset, the A78M over the A68H. I would also avoid the GA-F2A68HM-S1 because it has no digital video output, only VGA. The GA-F2A78M-HD2 has VGA, Dual-link DVI and HDMI video outputs. Check which revision of the GA-F2A78M-HD2 you are buying, the revisions go up to 3.1.

Dont know which one of the revisions i got, but for sure i got the A78M.

I think the revision should be written on the motherboard, as part of the model name. As in "Gigabyte GA-F2A78M-HD2 Rev.3.0"
