Hi first time posting here but I've read a lot of stuff on here to fix my pc a lot and your experts are much more knowledgible than I am so I was hoping to get some strong recommendations.

I want to build a new pc and re-use some of the parts from my old one. I can't re-use my motherboard/cpu for bad hardware reasons - which is why I want to upgrade in the first place. However, I was hoping to re-use as much as I can - specifically the GPU and maybe the SSD if I can. If possible, can I get some recommended parts or build that uses some of my old pc specs? I'm a bit of a newbie at building computers so any help is beneficial to me.

Old PC specs:
SSD: ADATA Premier SP550 480GB 2.5 Inch SATA III
Graphics: MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950
no OS

I want to make it primarily for games, but I'm not the most intense gamer. I'm more of a casual gamer and the highest graphically intensive thing I imagine I'll be playing in the future will be Overwatch-tier if not lower.
I can afford to spend anything below $1000 but would prefer it to be lower and around ~$500-700 if it can be helped and I can use the GPU above so I don't have to buy a new one.
If you have any questions I can answer them but if they require knowing something about the hardware I may need instructions on how to find that information if it is not very common knowledge.
Thank you!

Hey, thanks! I was looking at that build and it looks pretty cool. Just a few questions if you or someone else doesn't mind:
1. Do you mind explaining to me why I should opt some money towards the memory?
2. Also, on Amazon, the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X is only $10 more than the 1600. Is that worth getting over it in your opinion? If not, is it just because of the lack of thermal solution?
Thanks again for the reply.
