Hello,

I was hoping someone would be willing to help me out as I am in a very tough spot. I just started building a new PC for the first time and I've run into a road block. I was using a Newegg video guide to building and he said to test outside the case, when doing so I get no post. The CPU fan comes on and runs fine, the GPU fans run fine, and the power supply is turning on. So in my rather amateur opinion that means mobo or ram correct? Any help is appreciated I really have no clue what is wrong.

I have looked everywhere and tried everything I can think of (24 pin and 4/8 pin are connected, everything is seated correctly on the mobo, etc.). Not sure if it is relevant but I haven't tried inside the case yet as I didn't want to put a malfunctioning build in the case. Would that help? Or perhaps not using HDMI? Thanks again.

I would suggest that just check all connections once again and also if the cpu is seated properly also if you have on board display then I would suggest using that and removing the graphic card for now and yes use the vga port on the onboard display if you have one.
