Howdy everyone,

I've been having a slue of issues with my computer since I built my own a while ago. The issues feel far and wide; but I've always been too lazy to sit down and post to this community. I've browsed multiple posts here semi-regarding what I'm experiencing but, I just keep running into roadblocks.

I'll start with the most recent issue: my memory. I have 4 sticks of 4 gig 1866 MhZ sticks. They were all working just fine up until about a week or two ago. I started reading guides on how to clock and time my ram properly because I read it may have been causing an issue I've always seemed to have with my computer: complete meltdown. Now, only two of the four sticks of ram are reading properly. I really don't know how to go about this. Windows and my Bios seem to show them all there but only the 7.9 gigs of ram are usable. My Windows isn't blocking any memory. That was one of my first checks. This issue started when I removed one stick of ram to check out the timing it had so I could adjust my Bios accordingly. Boom, it dropped down to only 12 gigs useable. I read online that I should try and swap the ram sticks around to see if there was certain pairing. So, I removed them all and stuck them back in. Now I'm down to only 2 sticks working and my computer keeps maxing out on memory.

I can't seem to ever find what the hell is actually going on. I'll be playing certain games and my computer just freaks out. I've never been able to play games without crazy lag; despite my computer's hardware being way beyond what are required. For example: Player Unknown's Battlegrounds. I have to play everything on the lowest settings and even then; my computer just explodes.

I'll try and explain exactly what happens. I'll be playing a game and my sound will start to warp. I lose all input and my graphics start to just tear apart. I'm really desperate for some help. I can't play any games without my computer just dying on me. I'd love to be able to use my hardware to their proper potential and I just feel defeated.

At first, I thought this was an issue with overheating. I watched my temperatures climb as soon as the issue popped up. Reapplied my thermal paste and my fan after cleaning everything out. Dusted every last inch of my computer. Started my computer up again, loaded up a game, and dragged my temperature monitors onto my second screen. Steady as she goes, I thought to myself. It was working without a hitch. "Finally fixed it. This is finally over." Is the first relieved thought I had. Played along then nope. It happened again; at okay temperatures. So, I have no idea.

I'll post a video of what actually happens during one of these meltdowns in just a minute. Just wanted to get this posted.

Motherboard:
Sabertooth 2.0 990 FX

CPU:
AMD 8-Core
FX8350

Graphics Card:
Radeon R290

Ram:
I'll get back to you on the specifics.
All I know it's 9-10-9-27 timing 1866 Mhz (I think) 4 gig x4

PSU:
740 watt PS. Forget what brand.

Video of the meltdown:

If anyone could please take the time in helping me get my computer running properly; I will be forever grateful. Gaming is pretty much the only thing I have left after a rough year and I'm afraid I'm about to lose this, too.

Thank you for your time!

Edit:
Now 12/16 gigs of ram are usable.

No video showing mate.

Youre unlikely to get 4 sticks of ram running reliably at 1866 at those timings, need to know the actual sticks - cpu-z will give you a product code if youre unsure.

You need to let us know the actual psu model, both the 290 & 8350 can suck up power & it needs to be a good unit to run those.
Offhand I can't think of a 740w psu that I'd actually use .

Sorry, it's 750w...
Antec EA-750 Earthwatt

Is that a likely cause for the issue? The Earthwatts?

Ram:
Patriot Memory
1866 CL9 Series
Max Bandwidth: Pc3-12800H ( 800 Mhz)
PXQ316G1866ELQK

And I've been trying to get a video but.. Of course, my computer is refusing to crash now. Normally it crashes within 10 minutes of playing games.
