So around a month ago I spilled a bowl of water onto my computer from the top of my case into my entire pc. The pc turned off instantly and smelled like burnt wood. So to find out which parts of my pc were broken (after drying for 3 days) I tried different parts with my friends pc and found out that my ram, GPU and PSU were still working. So I bought new cpu and motherboard and i was good to go except for the fact that I had to hold down my power button about 1.5-2seconds to turn on my pc every single time (before i spilled my water, it was instant). It's strange but I just ignored it since my pc seemed to work fine. Then about a week ago, my psu starts making strange noises occasionally (couple times a day, but didn't seem to affect my pc) but one day my pc shuts off with an intense burning smell. So I figure it's the PSU and maybe the water finally got to it or something so I swap my corsair cx750 for a brand new cx550 and my pc seems fine again. Then today, In the middle of my game, my PC turns off again with the same intense burning smell.. I check my cpu temp which is at 47c (my pc has been on the entire day) so cpu seems fine. So I'm wondering if this is maybe my motherboard? I don't know if this matters but I had to downgrade all my parts since I'm kinda broke rn lol

Solution
You should changed psu in First place, cause only psu can kill your whole pc. Try to find where the smell comes from, dissasemble whole pc outside and check it, soo assuming that psu is fine?Have you pushed your psu connectors to your motherboard firmly?
