Hello

Last night, I purchased a EVGA GTX 1060 6GB and plugged it in with a 6 pin to 2 molex connectors, and connected it to a multiple sata and molex adaptar cable (4 adapters on 1 wire).

Is this the proper way to do it?

Or should I connect the GPU straight from a 6 pin to a 8 pin, straight into the PSU?

Appreciate if you could help me or show me through images the proper way.

The proper way is always going to be to use the ACTUAL CONNECTORS and not adapters. If your PSU is old/low end enough to not even have dedicated PCI-e power connectors, then it's probably a piece of crap that you should not be trying to use to power a modern GPU, or system for that matter.

I'm using a 430w right now.

I have a spare cable with the 6+2 and ends in 8 pin, so I can use this one?

- Connect 6 pin + 2 to GPU (Leave out the spare 2)
- Connect this 8 pin straight into the back of my PSU?

It's a Corsair 430w Bronze I believe, Lasted me for 2 years, never had issues.
