A few months ago I had an connection from ISP to my house, its cable btw, and had modem > tplink router> pc. During that time everything was fine, but I changed the ISP, and they gave me a modem-router device in one, its a CBN. Immidiatly I tried setting up some ports and somehow broke my own router(tplink) and I got the issue that internet fails until I restart the CBN router/modem. When the connection breaks wifi is also gone. I think that cable are alright because on the same cable is my tv connection hooked uo and its fine when net fails. What could be possibly gone wrong that this modem keeps failing ?

That isn't your router or your modem. The router-modem combo belongs to your ISP. That most likely means you're leasing that equipment. That means that they are responsible for making sure the router and modem are working right. Assuming someone had a router of their own the ISP would only be responsible for the modem so that if they messed up their router settings the fix would be on them. You do not so let them fix it. It's the same thing with a leased vehicle. You see a check engine light on your dashboard and it won't start or turn over. It's not your responsibility to take it to a shop or fix it yourself.

In short I recommend you call your ISP and allow them to walk you through the steps to fix this issue. Take some notes so that you will learn to fish in addition to accepting theirs.

P.S. I had a nearly identical issue. I had a modem only from my ISP which kept on failing. I removed my router from the picture and was still having issues. I ended up with a new modem. Hardware failures do happen and when they happen with leased equipment the leasee needs to know their rights an responsibilities. The ISP does have their contractual obligations too.
