PC upgrade advice

Black friday discounts are too tempting so I am upgrading my PC earlier than expected...

I bought an ASUS STRIX GTX1060 so I am trying to get everything to work around it. So far I am keen on these:

Processor - RYZEN 7 EIGHT CORE 1700X 3.80GHZ (SOCKET AM4)
MOBO - ROG STRIX B350-F AMD B350 (SOCKET AM4) DDR4 ATX
RAM - TEAM GROUP DARK PRO " EDITION" 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 PC4-25600C14 3200MHZ

I have a Scythe Ashura cooler but not sure whether to get an upgrade to something like a Corsair Hydro Series H60.

Power wise, I have a 4 year old Corsair CX500 (500W) PSU, so thinking about getting a new one like the "Bitfenix Formula Series 550W" or "Seasonic Focus Plus 550W"

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Either that or the Asus Prime X370-Pro which also looks pretty good... too many choices!

I am looking to do more video rendering so thought as the Ryzen 7 is on offer to just go for that!

The parts you have chosen should work well for video recording/rendering. Make sure you have lots of storage space for your recorded video files.

As for your 4 year old Corsair CX500 PSU, it's not that old, so if it's still working well for you there isn't any big need to replace it.
