Hello, so i have a 60hz minitor atm, but i have an opportunity to upgrade, i was considering between ZOWIE by Benq xl2430 ( 144hz ) and XL2546 ( 240hz ) and my question is if its worth to buy 240hz monitor or if its 144hz enough? Im playing games like CSGO, PUBG, COD WW2.. without lags.

Solution
What GPU do you have? I ask because though a lot of GPUs can sustain over 240 FPS on CSGO, most modern games take a considerable amount of graphics power just to maintain 60 FPS at max settings.

Meaning games like PUBG and CoD WWII would be an entirely different scenario where you'd be more concerned about whether you can even maintain 60 FPS. So scaling and screen tear issues become a concern.

A monitor like the XL2546 is targeted specifically at eSPorts gamers whom play games like CSGO, which are built on older engines and can sustain very high frame rates. It's really out of place for anything else.

The XL2430 is probably more practical, provided you have a GPU powerful enough to run games like PUBG and CoD WWII at high frame...

The XL2430 is probably more practical, provided you have a GPU powerful enough to run games like PUBG and CoD WWII at high frame rates. With CoD WWII you need at least a GTX 1080 just to maintain 144 FPS or near it, but not even a 1080 Ti will maintain 144 FPS on PUBG, due to it being very CPU bound and less optimized.

I also advise for this kind of thing you buy from a vendor that has a very good return policy, such as B&H Photo.

Hello, i have NVIDIA GTX 1050TI, i was playing PUBG with 144hz, fps were not stable around 144hz, they were jumping around 80-120, but that seems to be problem of the game, because i saw a lot of players with good computers and they were having the same, what i wanna say is that even with lower framerate then 144hz i was feeling the difference. in cod ww2 i play at locked 100fps and its stable, csgo im getting 250-299fps all the time

Oh, im sorry, i was pretty tired and i forgot to mention that i only tried that 144hz monitor on "LAN" party :D so i dont own one, i only have 60hz.

Well it really comes down to what games you play and what FPS and settings you're OK with. For instance a 1050 Ti will play Ghost Recon Wildlands at pretty much max settings at 1080p, but you won't get anywhere NEAR 100 FPS, or even 60.
