Upgrading to a New CPU and wondering if I need a BIOS update.

Recently, I have been thinking about upgrading the CPU on my gaming rig. I currently have an MSI B150M Mortar Micro ATX (LGA 1151, if that is necessary info) mobo with an Intel i3-6100 clocked at 3.7 GHz. I am upgrading this to an Intel i5-7500 clocked at 3.4 GHz. I was wondering if I needed to update my BIOS after installing, or perhaps before.

yes you need to update your bios i have same board with a i5 6600k the biggest mistake i made was i didn't read all the spec of the motherboard and bought a unlock cpu. but if u want to use a 7th gen i5 processor in a b150 board then u have to update the bios and if check it on msi site they have already given update for the bios.
