I two days ago i got a GTX 1070, Specifically the EVGA GTX 1070 SC Black edition, I installed the card/ all the newest drivers and for a few hours everything semmed to be working fine. But later that night when i was just watching a youtube video it started skipping and my computer completely froze up. this has happened a total of two times now, The other one was when i was playing CSGO (not a very demanding game) so i think i can rule out any cooling issues. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, i'm typing this in a rush cause i have to go make Thanksgiving dinner, so i apologize for any spelling errors.

Hello.

Did you check your temps, or do you just assume they are fine? If you didn't check the temps atleast have a look at them with HWinfo or afterburner.
Did you uninstall old drivers? Did you install with Geforce Experience?
Is there any screen tearing/weird colors on your screen sometimes?
Did you take out any other parts when installing ur GPU?
Is the GPU seated correctly aswell as the PCI-E cables?

Everything is seated correctly, The lock on the PCI-E port is on, same for the cables, And the only thing i uninstalled when i got this card was my old GPU.
I checked the temps with GPU-Z at loads of 55% to 70% it never went above 65c. I also did a clean driver installation with DDU. I don't know if i would call it artifacting, but when i first installed my drivers i got these weird vertical lines that blurred the whole screen and made my mouse invisible, a simple reset fixed that but i don't know if that could be a symptom of some bigger problem. I'm still a relative novice so i could be completely wrong about that last part

EDIT: I forgot to mention, when i first built the computer the 24 pin connector never went completely in, That could also be the problem but i'm not sure, I've had this computer for over a year now and this is the first problem.
