Psu upgrade not working

The problem may not be in PSU but in MB for instance. If you have a known good PSU and you are sure you connect it right, than problem lies somewhere else. Could be anything, from a really stupid one like bad Start button or it's connection. Find the place on MB where it connects to and short those 2 pins with a screwdriver.
I got a new 450 watt insignia PSU connectedected it as before and the system started up but wont display through vga port i had installed new video card 1050t.i i started computer and plugged into video card hdmi and that worked windows loaded i felt content at that point to shutdown system and install drivers later now i cant get signal from card hdmi port or Vga port dont know what to do next cant get to bios since no display since shutdown earlier any help is needed.
The so called experts at Geek Squad burned my mother board when the employee was checking diffrent Psu's on my system. They screwed up by plugging a 12v current into a ground for the fan. after which the video card and ram were not recognizable and smoke was emmited from the the system i started getting a 7 tone beep when trying to power up i immediatly returned to bestbuy/GeekSquad and they sent my computer in for motherboard replacement.
