This Christmas I'm thinking about upgrading my pc a bit by putting in another 970. I assume this will help me game in 1440p with atleast 60 fps with maxed settings for the majority of titles released for the next few years. However, my PSU is a seasonic bronze rated 620w PSU. I have one MSI gtx 970 at standard clock rate and the processor is an i5-4690k unoverclocked. Is SLI a good idea for increasing my PC performance? Can my power supply support another card? Any tips and comments are appreciated. Thanks!

it's close, very close, i'm on a seasonic G650 and am thinking the same thing, one of the other mods is doing it at 600-650W. I think it is too close for comfort. Could you sell the one you have, and put that towards a 1070ti?

SLI isn't the best choice to get better performance. You can almost always get the same or better performance from one very good card.
