AMD GPU temp shows 0 degree, fan speed at 100% and screen has a pink/purple overlay / tint.

Hi,

My sapphire hd radeon 7770 shows 0 degree temp, fan speed is by default at 100% and screen has a pink / purple overlay / tint.

The vga cable is fine as i checked it on other pc. I cant play games more than 5 mins, pc reboots.

> I have uninstalled the driver using DDU in safe mode and reinstalled it with the latest dirver.
> Msi AfterBurner also shows 0 degree and 100% fan speed in Auto mode
> I have literally tried all the solutions found in this forum.

Is my gpu dead ?

Hi,
Yes it sounds like Your GPU is about going to bed.
It is typically when the screen has strange colour patterns and on top of that the inbuilt temp sensor is misleading.

The computer or Windows to be more precise, can surely crash when the graphics driver don't work, due to a malfunction of the graphics card.

These are my thoughts.
