I have an HP Pavilion 9270f that I put Windows 10 on a few years ago. It has an AMD Radeon HD 4600. It had been working okay until today when it just stopped working. Although lately, the fan would sometimes need me to push start it. And I could never run 4K video without it freezing up.

Just doing a little research, I find that this video card is not even supported for Windows 10. I can't seem to find drivers, which would make sense if it isn't supported.

In the near future, I plan to build an entirely new system (my first ever custom build!) around a GTX 1080 Ti and additional major upgrades, but for now, I just want to get my old computer working again.

I'm looking for a good replacement that DOES support Windows 10, two monitors and will show 4K video and is relatively cheap. I've done a little research based off the supported cards list I found at AMD and Nvidia.

Would the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti at about $99 on Amazon be a good choice? Should I be looking lower or higher?

Thanks!

Yes the GTX 750 Ti would be an OK choice, it will more than fulfil your requirements. There are many who would say the 750 Ti is outdated and you should get a 1050 or 1050 Ti, however they never mention that you'll need to find a modern BIOS update for your motherboard to support the latest generation of GPUs.....which I doubt you'll find.

So, the 750 Ti is probably the latest GPU that should be supported on your motherboard, just be sure to remove the old display drivers before installing the new ones, DDU is very good for this.
