If you are asking, if you buy a Threadripper motherboard will you be able to reuse the DDR4 ram sticks from a previous build, the answer is yes. There i nothing different about the memory Threadripper uses. The fact that it runs in quad channel as well as dual has nothing to do with the ram sticks, just the X399 chipset.
