Hello there!
I'm upgrading my CPU from an i5 4670k after a couple of years. The motherboard seems to be giving up as well so Black Friday (and Cyber Monday) seemed to be a great day to strike. Anyway I looked at some parts and since I'm still a new computer builder I made some mistakes last time and by asking some experts I was hoping to avoid that this time.
Here are the parts I have picked so far:
i5 7600k
MSI Z270-A pro (for overclocking, right?)
Kingston Value DDR4 24000MHZ 16gb, 2 sticks (nothing fancy, but seems to do the job)
Parts that I think will stay:
Rx 480 GAMING X 8b (new part)
XFX ProSeries Core Edition 650 PSU (~4 years old, is there any chance it might damage the
Hyper 212x CPU cooler newer parts)
Is this a good combination or have I missed something?
