new problem ryzen 5 1600

I might question the "professionals" who say your PC is crashing because of Ryzen. First, it is not that new anymore. It is not quite as "plug and play" as Intel, but it has come along way since it was first released.
Most of that dealt with RAM compatibility. Second, if it was a problem with the architecture, then this would be happening to all of the Ryzen CPUs. Maybe you have a defective CPU.

But if you looking for an update, I would start by updating the bios of your motherboard. They happen at various times and no one will know when they will happen.

'Professionals' ??? Mmmmm, they're very likely not at all.

Any updates are already available & as feelinfroggy sayss, the agesa bios upates dealt with ram incompatibilites/speed issues 3 months ago.

What are your whole system specs, did the 'professionals' ensure your board bios is fully upto date & ram speed/timings are correct ??

No i havent overclocked anything. My GPU was pre overclocked though.

Single stick of dual rank needs to be in slot a2 mate, which is the second one in from the cpu (or 3rd slot in from the front of the board).

You need to move it if its not .

Id also drop in bios , open oc tweaker , dram timings & change command rate from 1t to 2t (will be the bottom most line)

I would definitely put the ram in the right slot as stated above. You should not have issues putting RAM in the slot. It should just snap in like a lego. Make sure you have it facing the right direction. Sometimes running RAM in single channel RAM on a dual channel board can cause "issues". But it should not be as drastic as continual system crashes.

As far as your MSI afterburner, that reading is when the GPU is idle. When you are gaming it will move up a lot. It does not take much for 2d applications. If you are worried, just download Unigine Heaven Benchmark and run a bench in windowed mode and watch afterburner go to work.

What are your CPU temps? Is the cooler properly installed? How much thermal paste did you use? Too much or too little can cause issue. Is the heat sink properly seated on the IHS? What you are describing sounds like a classic thermal throttle. After you are on the PC for awhile the CPU overheats and shuts down the system to prevent damage. Thus, it crashes.
