Hello! I recently bought the GPU in thread title and I was under the impression that it would work on the OS I am using (win XP 32bit). There are legacy drivers for the chip om AMDs website, and there have been other threads on this website asking about XP compatibility:
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-3398630/250-windows.html

and so I thought that I could make it work, however even though the card fits onto my mobo as it should, and I have installed the latest legacy drivers from AMDs website I keep getting the "found new hardware" prompt as I enter windows, but the GPU does not seem to be recognized, as nothing shows up in dxdiag > display, neither does anything show up in GPUZ

Any help is appreciated! Thank you so much

Solution
I had an R7 250X workung under XP just fine. Using already mentioned driver verrsion 14.4 it worked just like installing any other recent card on any other recent system.

Check if the card shows up in device manager. If it does ry installing the "actual" driver file from there.
