Question about my motherboard

Hi!

I have a question, I have the Gigabyte Z270 K3 motherboard, but I was wondering how many SSD's & HDD's I can connect to it? I only see 2 SATA ports, but that can't be it can it?! I'm kind of worried I cant connect a third SSD, which would suck...

The manual doesn't really help me either, so any help will be appreaciated.

  1. You would have to get an add-on card if you want conventional sata HDs or (ignore, I was wrong, see below) you can also get an m.2 type as gigabyte says your motherboard supports 2 of these.

  2. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z270-Gaming-K3-rev-10#sp

    Storage Interface Chipset:
    1 x M.2 connector (Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SATA and PCIe x4/x2 SSD support)
    2 x SATA Express connectors
    6 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors
Support for RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, and RAID 10
    * Refer to "1-7 Internal Connectors," for the installation notices for the M.2 and SATA connectors.
