Certain applications don’t run, certain games in Steam crash on startup, and my Elgato HD 60 Pro sometimes crashes during a recording or streaming session. Build is below. Do you think it’s a Faulty MB, too low Power supply, or maybe a software issue? (antivirus isn’t the issue) **CPU Cooler:** Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo + **Motherboard:** Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 5 + **RAM:** 16GB DDR3 1600 + **SSD:** Samsung 120GB M.2-2280 + **HDD:** 2TB 7200 RPM + **GPU:** Nvidia GeForce 1080 FE + **Power Supply:** EVGA SuperNOVA 80+Gold 650W. Elgato HD 60 Pro installed on the motherboard. Haven’t found any resolution.

Solution
What is the GPU/CPU temps and usage like at idle?

You may want to try and reinstall your drivers. Use the clean installation option in the Custom installation option of the installer when you do.

Windows 10. Games include: PUBG, Fortnite, Friday the 13th, unreal Engine 4, BioShock Remastered (BioShock 2 Remastered works though), and Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location. There may be more but those are the most notable ones.

I’ve tried turning stream overlay off but to no avail. Fortnite is another indicator that steam isn’t the problem because it runs off of Epic Games launcher and that doesn’t have an overlay. The CPU is an i7-4790k
