My monitor is a Asus PG278Q it has no hdmi ports (I'd like hdmi ports for use with ps4 and streaming devices) so I've decided to buy a new one. The monitor I'm looking at 49" CHG90 QLED is freesync and not gsync like my current monitor. I'm using a nvidia 980ti and I'm wondering is it worth it to switch to a amd vega 64 in order to use freesync and take advantage of the performance upgrade or is it not enough to justify switching .

I've tried looking that up in the past and wasn't able to find anything on it that actually worked. Even if i could find a hub that worked my monitor has 1 dp port so Id constantly have to be plugging and unplugging devices I connected to it. from a user in the rog forums stated "The PG278Q doesn't have integrated resolution scaling capabilities. As a result, the GPU handles the scaling" So it wouldn't work for ps4"
But either way this has now got a bit off topic I just wanted to know if it was worth switching from a 980ti to a vega 64 to utilize freesync and if the performance upgrade is worth it or just stick with the 980ti with the freesync monitor
