Good monitor for PC gaming?

I’m getting a gaming PC soon but i need a good monitor for it. My budget is around £150 maybe £200. I’ve looked around at a few but I don’t know what will work well or perform well and is actually good. If anyone can suggest some or provide help that would be much appreciated, thanks.

The 1060 3gb will struggle on 144hz for most recent and future games, specially on ultra. Even the 6gb version will struggle. Now, you can go for it, but you have to scale down your settings on most of the games, specially on intense fast paced scenes.

If I can afford it should I just get the 144hz?
