I Have A Question About HDD

Hello everyone !
I just built my PC and when i was installing HDD, It won't fit into the HDD Module. I took the module out and tried to install with screws. That idea didn't work too... so i tied HDD with Cable Ties and Plugged in SATA and PSU Cables. It's not placed perfectly horizontally but there's enough space of air to move. I was wondering if there are any problems with that ?

    What case is this?
HDD sizes and screw locations are very standardized. It should fit.

    What case?
    What drive?
    Pics help.
  2. I have enough experience in PC Building to not miss that detail :D But i want exact answer to my question. Problem is not that HDD didn't fit the module. Problem is if my HDD will have any problems ? Thanks for replying, USAFRet !
  3. They should be standard, but I have a cheapo deepcool case, and it didn't seem to fit right. I'm a tech though. I've seen drives mounted flat, some cases even mount them sideways, like vertically. So if it's for or vertical shouldn't matter. I just wouldn't want to leave it at an angle.

I bought DEEP COOL Tesseract - That's my case.
Now, i checked out my HDD Temperature and it runs pretty well - 25 Degrees Celsius. I'll keep looking for it these days and decide It's okay or not. Anyways, thanks for answers, guys !

I've had drives mounted with zip ties, with no prob. And horiz or vert makes no difference.

Did you buy this new or used? The drives go in tool less...there are small 'racks' to screw the drive into, and then that slides into the slot(s).

  6. I have the deep cool d shield. Nice enough case, looks good enough but cheaply built. For 40 bucks I realize now there are much better options.

I've bought brand new, but HDD didn't fit those racks. It fit perfectly in stretched state and then won't fit into the mount to *click* inside. Anyways, if it's OK to keep HDD tied, i have no problem. Thanks !
