Hey guys,

So I have recently been having issues with my computer hardcrashing while playing games, mostly happens with PUBG and Battlefront 2, so I decided to open it up to dust it off and also change thermal paste (that might have been a big mistake). Now according to realtemp and speedfan the cpu is at 90 degrees while idle, and i have not dared to play any games or even run the computer for more than 15 minutes.

The cpu is an i7 6700K and I'm using an Antec Kuhler 950 water cooler. Weird thing is, none of the cooler parts are actually warm, except for the part that's on the actual cpu, and that isn't even that hot.

So I'm wondering just how much of a moron I am, being quite the casual. Is it my bad application of cooling paste? Or bad placement of the cooler?

Thanks in advance

Is the cooler working, you should feel water moving through the pipes while its on, if not then the pump is bad and that's your over heating problem. Personally I dont like AIO water coolers, I think a good air cooler is better because of less points of failure. Thermal paste application isn't super important, as long as you didnt put waaay to much on, or waaay too little on the temps wont be that different.
