CPU upgrade but very little performance increase

So I replaced my CPU from i3-3240 to i7-3770. Both are Ivy Bridge. My problem is I don't see any FPS increase on some of my games. Especially Arslan: The Warriors of Legend. Which I have the recommended specs achieved. It runs at around 30-50 FPS.

My Specs:
CPU: Intel i7-3770
RAM: Adata 4GB 1600Mhz
GPU: Zotac Nvidia GTX 1050Ti OC Edition
Mobo: Asus H61M-E
PSU: Dazumba 450w

Sorry for my bad English.

It all depends on the game, for games that are more CPU demanding there will be some increase, but for those games that are more GPU demanding not all that much if any.

I can go either way really.

But yes I agree a GPU upgrade will make the biggest difference performance wise.

I have seen it myself in games and benchmarks going from a RX 480 8 GB to a GTX 1080 in my i7 7700K machine is a monster amount of difference.

Now if one was to believe the CPU controlled all of the FPS like some want people to believe there wouldn't have been any difference at all between the RX 480 and GTX 1080 in my machine.

That's going by their logic and what they want people to believe for whatever reason.

And even more using the RX 480 I saw very...

And even more using the RX 480 I saw very little if any difference between an I7 870 and I7 7700K because with the I7 870 it's pushing it GPU very well while the GPU bottlenecks the I7 7700K.

How much FPS will I gain from upgrading my RAM?
Also, which one is better? single 8GB RAM or Dual Channel 4GB RAM?

If your cpu supports dual channel ram I would go for 2x 4gb (same model ram).. U wont gain much fps but game will run more smoothly without freezing or stuttering
