CPU overheating with new kraken x62

Hi
I just had a new PC made for me. It has an 8600k in a Asus Z370E which is cooled by a kraken x62. It seemed to be running ok while I set it up by downloading Asus aura and steam, just loud. But I restarted it and when it was rebooting I got a warning saying that there was a high CPU temp and a prompt to enter the BIOS where I saw the CPU is at 89c. The fans seem to be running slow as I can't feel any air being moved and I don't think I can hear the pump noise, just a gurgling type of sound from where the x62 meets the CPU. Is there anything I can do before I return the PC to get it to work?
Thanks

Roll the pc in the direction of flow. You have air in the tubes and it's stuck in the pump. It's very common with AIO's after shipping or movement on its side. Ideally you'll want to start out with the pump high, radiator low and roll the pc slowly, front to back (or vice versa depending on hose direction) to where the air had a chance to bubble up to the highest level, ending up in the radiator.

Some ppl prefer done without power, won't hurt to be powered on in bios, it's easier to tell when the air has cleared the pump.

Thank you, it seems to have taken my temps from 90c down to 34c at idle, but the sound is still there. I'll try a few more times and let it run to see if it completely

I had my kraken sitting top mount radiator for a long time, never had an issue until I moved it to front mount on a whim, decided to see if temps changed. Got the gurgle, tipped the pc almost on its back for a few minutes while running, gurgling went away and temps dropped. Haven't had an issue since. I'm guessing some of the experience is due to the exact way the hoses run, if they run down like a smile or overhead loop like a frown, whether the pump is lower or higher than the hose inlets etc.

But 34°C idle is pretty normal. I do recommend using the CAM software too, it works wonders just set on Silent mode.

I assume nobody is reading this over a year later, but I had the exact same issue from it being in the car and after an angry 24 hours I stumbled across your solution. It is back to 20-30'c and will hopefully stay that way. Thank you very much - you're a genius!

I had exact same problem and did like Karadjgne said but i wonder if its better having outcome of hoses downside than upside? So far everything works :)
