What is the best Aftermarket cooler for a GTX 1080Ti?

I'm replacing the stock cooler on my 1080Ti FE and I'm wondering which is better: an aftermarket air cooler like an Arctic Accelero or a custom water cooling loop?. Would I be able to have only the GPU being cooled through a custom loop or does it have to have a CPU in the loop?

I just explained why you weren't being helpful and reinforced that yes, water cooling is the ideal solution as the card starts throttling after 70c and even the most aggressive air cooling struggles especially when overclocked. Telling people that they should have waited doesn't change anything and I'm sure the op is already aware of that if impatience was his reasoning. Anyways, I'm pretty sure the op got the answer he was looking for...moving on.

This is hardly a helpful comment. He probably purchased the card at a lower price or bought it before the AIB were available. To the op; water-cooling is your best bet.

Patience is your friend. Plus, you mimicked my answer.
