Hello,

I have a quick question about a setup that I want to build. This is my plan:

Gradistea_network_2.jpg

The main focus on this plan is to broadcast the network from the ground floor house (Router Asus AC1200G - where WAN is entering) to an outbuilding 40 meters away with no obstacles. In the outbuilding I will have a switch to connect 3 PCs and one router to broadcast wifi around the outbuilding.

The result should be an wifi network with over 150 Mbps on the house, outbuilding and the yard between buildings. In the outbuild I want a LAN network with also over 150 Mbps.

Is this the right choice regarding the hardware equipment?

Thanks,
Radu

My recommendation would be a pair of outdoor WIFI units. A dual band omnidirectional unit on the outside of the house to cover yard and outbuilding. On the outbuilding, a directional 5Ghz unit to create a wireless bridge and bring the ethernet into the outbuilding.
Since you listed a Ubiquiti unit, I would do a UAP-AC-PRO or UAP-AC-HD for the omnidirectional and a nanostation-M (5Ghz) for the directional
Engenius also has models that would work.
