Will my new graphics card work on my old Motherboard?

So recently i got problems with my computer. Green dots and lines is on my whole computer screen , at first i thought maybe it's monitor problem but after trying couple things it's must my GPU. My computer not that new and i only have money for GPU right now so my question will Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060, 6GB, GDDR5, WindForce 2X work on my P8Z77-M Motherboard. My other PC specs are: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50GHz , 8GB Ram.

Your computer is several years old but you have top the line 3rd gen i7 3770K. 1060 will work great with your system. Download msi afterburner to monitor temp and usage of CPU, GPU and memory. There are 2 things that you can do to improve performance further in the future if you have not done it yet.
1. Overclock your CPU if needed. You will need aftermarket cooler. Cryogen H7 will be good choice.
2. Add 8 more gig memory if you see your system is showing close to 8 gig usage when you game.
